About

MMA MATH Octagon

Cody Garbrandt beat Dominic Cruz. Dominic Cruz beat TJ Dillishaw. If the transitive property were always true in MMA, then Cody should have beaten TJ, but we all know that didn’t happen. Cody lost to TJ… TWICE.

We, at MMA MATH, look at the statistics and we look at the records, and then we take our analysis beyond the transitive property. We take a deeper look at skill sets, we look at strengths, we look at weaknesses, we look at consistency, we look at mindset, we look at the baggage and we look at the distractions.

Real fights, to us, are not always the big draw, they are those that come in, under the radar, and surprise us, because they were "unexpected" fiery match-ups that pitted true athletes with competitive skill sets – not blowouts between a No. 6 ranked fighter versus a noob fighting for the first time in The Big Show.

Real fighters are those that are unafraid to face the competition, that are not all talk, that have the skills, that have the strength of character and they are those that want to test themselves and push themselves and keep going, even in defeat.

If you want sensationalism, the latest gossip, rumors, or negativity, this isn’t the place for you. If you want real discussions, that dig deeper, that evaluates fights and fighters individually, we welcome you!
